That's in addition to Sony's new mylo COM-2 communicator gadget, a Wi-Fi-powered instant messaging device which isn't a phone. (We have a full preview of the mylo COM-2.)
The most impressive of Sony's new lineup is the W760, a sliding, all-purpose multimedia phone with a bunch of highly desired features. Most notably, it has tri-band HSDPA and quadband EDGE—meaning it will run on high-speed cellular networks both in the U.S. and abroad. That's a relatively rare feature on a U.S. phone, and it's never been seen before on a Sony Ericsson device.
The W760 also has built-in GPS with Wayfinder Navigator for driving directions and Google Maps for mapping. Presumably, if AT&T picks it up, they could replace that with their own GPS partner, but the GPS function will probably remain intact.
