LG unveils KS500 cellphone

Another day passes and another cellphone is unveiled by LG, this time the handset is named KS500 and so far the price is unknown.

One of the special features included on the LG KS500 is the GPS receiver + support for A-GPS. While it comes with Yahoo! Go Maps as the default application, owners can change it to whatever they like the most, be it Google Maps or MSN maps.

Sprint Navigation

Sprint Navigation gives accurate turn-by-turn directions, but the interface isn't as user-friendly as that of Verizon or AT&T's applications.

Powered by TeleNav, which also produces AT&T Navigator, Sprint Navigation gives verbal, turn-by-turn directions with live traffic alerts offering detour suggestions. The search feature lets you hunt for weather reports and gas prices (by location, along route, address, or airport), as well as for restaurants, movies, and event reviews. Sprint's interface, however, is not as easy to use as AT&T's, or, for that matter, Verizon's VZ Navigator.

Verizon Wireless VZ Navigator

Verizon's GPS has an excellent display, easy-to-use navigation controls, and accurate traffic reports--but no extras or frills.

VZ Navigator, Verizon's branded cell phone GPS service, features accurate turn-by-turn directions, navigation, live traffic alerts with detouring options, and weather and gas-price searching by location (along the route, by specific address, or even by airport proximity). Movie and event reviews are also available.
